Meet at the Lyon Center and bring $5 for transportation.

Explore part of Downtown LA's exciting history as we walk through the some of the sites featured in the movie, (500) Days of Summer.

Graduate Student Lunch Series

USC Clio is pleased to announce our first in a series of graduate student lunches!

The first one will be held on Thursday, Feburary 4, 2010 from 11:30 - 1:30 in SOS 250.

As a means to tap into the department's graduate students, this is an excellent way to meet and greet the graduate students of USC's History department. Topics will most likely range from grad students' current research to applying to grad school to careers in history. The first lunch will be focusing on applying to graduate school.

Holiday Party

On Thursday December 3rd, Clio had a holiday party. Hope those of you that attended enjoyed! Good luck on finals and Happy Holidays to all!

Representatives at History Open House

At the history open house in SOS 250 from 10-4 this coming Tuesday, October 27th, representatives from Clio will be on hand to answer any questions students may have about requirements, professors, etc. If you have any questions that you would like a student perspective on, please don't hesitate to ask one of our representatives!

Meeting

This Thursday, October 22nd, Clio will be holding a meeting at 7 pm in THH 115. We will be discussing and choosing (as well as trying to determine potential dates) our events for the year. If you have any ideas for events, please come and share them! We would love to hear from all of you so please stop by the meeting this Thursday to make your voices heard.

First Event!

Clio is pleased to announce and invite you to our first official event:

Pizza and a Movie!

Come join us for a screening of Monty Python's "Holy Grail" as well as some free pizza!

The event will be on Wednesday, September 30th. The pizza should arrive about 6 and the event will go from about 6-9. It will be held in Zumberge Hall, Room 352 (ZHS 352). Zumberge is at the end of Trousdale closest to exposition. Hope to see you all there.

Hello all and welcome to the official web page for Clio, USC's new and only history organization for undergraduates. As our club becomes ever more active and expands, look to this website for updates about club events or for general club information.

Do you love history? Do you want to share your love of history with others? Then, join Clio. Whether you're a history major, minor, or just a history aficionado with another major, we'd love to have you come celebrate your passion for history with us.

Clio will provide an opportunity for all members to:

• Pursue the knowledge and practice of history in the USC community
• Promote student writing and an appreciation of history
• Participate in a social and academic forum
